故事介绍：

背景：33年前，JAM使用通路突然袭击地球，后来经过很多次战斗，地球军成功地将JAM打退。

在一次任务结束后，零准备驾驶雪风返回。途中遭遇未知战机Sylph，在雪风的判断下零认为是JAM，并将其击落，但在爆炸的波及下使零受了伤……

在修养期间，杰克免除了零的飞行任务，并为零的复出开了个小宴会，在酒醉的睡梦中，零看到了一些陌生的景象……

零接到调查Sylph的任务，但在任务中转入了战斗，不单受到攻击，系统更被JAM入侵，但最后还是躲过了死亡，返回基地。为了不让雪风落在JAM手上，杰克要求以无人战机FRX代替雪风，但遭到零的反对，在吵架后零不快离去。

为了查明真相，零与伙伴私自驾驶雪风出去，但后来被击落，并与基地中断了联系……此事让杰克很焦急，冒着上军事法庭的危险，带同FRX一起出发展开搜索。

在零醒后被告知在一个前线基地，一个神秘军人以修好雪风为借口向零套取雪风的登录密码。当零得到雪风的警示后，立刻做出反抗，并逃离了JAM制造的数据空间。但却遭到JAM的追击，雪风再次被击落……

在零绝望时，雪风控制FRX前来相救，并将数据都转移到FRX上，在弹出零后，FRX将“雪风”击毁……而零，则昏迷在荒漠中……

Yukikaze occurs in the early 21st century. Thirty-three years before the events of the series, an alien force known as the JAM invaded Earth through a dimensional portal that appeared over Antarctica. Without alarming the general public, the United Nationsestablishes a defense force to oppose the threat and after a series of bloody battles, managed to push the enemy back to the other side of the portal. The UN establishes five bases on a planet named "Fairy" to continue the offensive against the JAM with the Fairy Air Force (FAF) leading the way. The main character, Lt Rei Fukai, pilots the Super Sylph B-503 fighter, nicknamed "Yukikaze", an advanced armed tactical reconnaissance plane equipped with a near-sentient AI system, and belongs to the FAF's recon squadron, the Boomerang Squadron. Over the course of the series, Fukai and the FAF struggles to defeat the JAM, who have perfected the art of human cloning and planted agents all over the FAF.
